DAY 4033: SUNDAY JUNE 17TH 2012.

Brian Haw began the Parliament Square Peace Campaign on June 2nd 2001, following the deaths of 500,000 children who were killed as a result of the unlawful sanctions that were imposed by the West on Iraq.

During Brian's long years leading the Parliament Square Peace Campaign in Parliament Square, London, he endured relentless, often violent persecution at the hands of what is increasingly recognised as a wholly corrupt state.

Following a violent assault at the hands of the Metropolitan Police during an unlawful "arrest" on May 5th 2008, during which Brian's back was injured, and from which he suffered prolonged pain, his immune system broke down.

Brian passed away in a hospital in Bremen, Germany, on June 18th 2011, after complications following an operation to remove cancer.

Every day we remember the extraordinary work that Brian did for peace, as indeed do many people, who knew Brian and visit our continuing campaign each day.

Tomorrow we will be quietly remembering Brian at our campaign in Parliament Square, London.

You will be welcome to join us and/or leave a message or candle to remember Brian.

Lee will be with us sharing information about his pilgrimage for Brian.

We invite people who can offer one or two hours a week to support our continuing campaign, to leave their contact details with a member of the campaign in Parliament Square.
