ジャズピアノの魅力を多くの関係者が語るのが本書だ。これは80年代に多くのジャズコンサートや番組を後援した日本たばこ(現在のJT)の企画室に寄るものだ。本書の中で多くのジャズレコードの紹介、対談、インタビューなどが行われている。詳細については本書に当たっていただくとして、本書で紹介された数々のLPの中から私が気に入っていたものを以下に挙げておく。
