Hi there! Have you ever heard Dojyo-ji（道成寺）? It's one of the famous Noh performance. Noh is a kind of Japanese traditional performance. The temple is in Wakayama.
Dojo-ji is like that. A girl who fell in love with a monk try to see him. He said he will stop by her again. But it was a lie. She gets mad at him and start chasing. He run away. When he crosses a river, she turns to a huge snake. He hides in this temple. In the end, she kills him because of his lie. That's a legend.
I think you can go there by train, JR Line. But in my case, I chose a car
It was a heavy rainy day, so no people were there! To get there, you have to go upstairs. It was a bit long
The precincts were not large. You can walk around within 30 min.... But there is a museum for some artwork. I didn't enter. If you are interested in, go ahead!
