シドニーへの一週間のBusiness tripもあっという間に終わり、キャンベラに戻って参りました。色々な方とお会いし、私のビジネスについてsemi-formalなプレゼンをしたり非常に有意義なひと時でした。ビジネスの商談的な内容以外は、旧友とご飯を共にしたり、ヘアカットをお願いしたり、ちょっとしたSightseeing tourしたりと、満喫できました。ダイジェスト版として写真を交えて振り返りたいと思います。

My business trip started from visiting Wollongong to see and stay my wife's friend house. Wollongong is a kinda memorable place for us as we resided and she studied there for a few years prior to moving in Canberra. Not much's changed there, but still feel like a relaxing and beautiful countryside. As you can see from the below photos, there are hosts of beautiful beaches there. We will surely come back here in near future.

Now is obviously in summer, but at that time it was a bit cool for swimming, so we decided not to jump into the pool, which was really sad. Very few people were swimming there. Usually, at this time of the year, it is supposed to be hot enough to swim. That's ok, we really enjoyed staying there for a while before heading to Sydney city.

It was supposed to be raining a bit, but fortunately it was just cloudy. I like this tranquil atmosphere and vibe compared to a hectic and noisy big city. If you happen to be in Australia, I definitely recommend visiting Wollongong areas.

I visited a few times having a cup of coffee there when we lived in Wollongong. They are offering a variety of beverages, nibbles, sweets as well as splendid brekkie, brunch, etc. At weekends, many avid cyclists are having fun here. I wish I could join some fun riding community.

We stayed in Wollongong just one day, and then moved to Sydney city by train. As you can see from the above photo, a bit packed but really spacious to accommodate many people. And, it looks like Shinkansen inside. I like this kinda seat arrangement. It usually takes one hour and 40 mins to arrive in Sydney Central Station. It's ok, I mean, I can enjoy watching beautiful scenaries from windows or chatting with somebody. 2 hours is just nothing.

We stayed at this motel for three nights. The room was just decent, not very special. But, what I liked is that it's got a classical interior and staff was reasonably kind and hospitable.

Neutral Bay is located nearby Sydney CBD. Just cross the Harbour Bridge. Lower Northshore area is one of the most peaceful and expensive suburbs in the Greater Sydney. I reckon pretty much everyone wants to buy their own house around this area, but unfortunately too expensive for foreigners unless you are able to invest multi-million dollars. I can see so many attractive residences here. Just so tempting.

I forgot the name of this park, but behind the harbour, there is a huge dog run area. Even on weekdays, so many people are taking their dogs and playing there. Looks so peaceful!!

We were planning to hop on ferry to visit Manly or Watsons Bay, but alas I was too busy to do so this time. Next time for sure.

Kabocha Takeaway reminds me of the period living in Neutral Bay a few years ago. I used to have lunch, dinner and sometimes takeaway bento. Average prices are genuinely reasonable, and taste is like champion!! Oyakodon is one of the best ones I can recommend.

In the following day, we had a fantastic typical Aussie brekkie near Milsons Point Railway station. Bread is quite popular here. It was really awesome. Not oily at all. Amazingly tasty ever. Long black was also second to none.

I had quite busy schedules for the first half of our trip. After having done some business meetings, my wife and I had spent some time on unwinding at pubs. Introspections and contemplation for a while at this kinda place can be really valuable when it comes to the next steps for expanding my own business.

Izakaya Samurai has been running quite long time. And quite popular one, especially amongst local customers. Izakaya Samurai serves a wide range of dishes, most of which are a bit pricy but they are outstanding taste. One of my previous share mates when I lived in Neutral Bay might still be working here, but I could not see him this time. I hope he does well, indeed.
