Real Gone Musicから、Grateful DeadのDick's PicksシリーズVol.24が再発されます（4月2日発売予定）。

今回はCD2枚組で、1974年3月23日のCow Palace（CA）公演の演奏が収録されています（コンプリートショーではありません）。1974年といえば、伝説的な巨大PAシステムのThe Wall of Soundが使用された年。その前年から試験的に導入されていたサウンドシステムが、ビデオ"The Grateful Dead Movie"で見られるような「完成形」として初めて構築されたのが、このCow Palaceのショーでした。（Wall of Soundはあまりにもコストがかかりすぎるということで、この年かぎりで廃止された。）
