Anti-Prostate Enlargement

Overview The Prostate Enlargement is usually named BPH - Benign prostatic hypertrophy. Prostate gland enlargement affects about half of men in their 60s and up to 90 percent of men in their 70s and 80s. In BPH, the normal elements of the prostate gland grow in size and number. The problem starts with the reproduction of the cells rapidly in the central portion of the gland, so the tissues enlarge, and often compress the urethra, totally or partially blocking urine flow. This urethral compression leads to urine retention and the need for frequent urination, adding to infection and complications

The androgenic (male) hormone testosterone and its more potent metabolite dihydrotestosterone (DHT) are known to influence abnormal growth of tissue in the prostate gland. The prostate enlargement is directly dependent on DHT. DHT is made from testosterone, and this conversion is catalyzed by the enzyme 5α- reductase. The accumulation of DHT in the prostate causes the prostate enlargement. As aging occurs, the amount of DHT in the prostate gland remains high, even through the circulating testosterone level drops.

Some products are selective inhibitors of 5α-reductase. They block the enzyme needed to make DHT and so lowers blood and tissue DHT levels and helps reduce the size of the prostate. There are some side effects of 5α-reductase inhibitor, such as loss of libido, erectile dysfunction, a smaller volume of ejaculate, gynecomastia, etc. These symptoms are reversible. However, stopping the therapy will restart the progression of prostate enlargement.

This Anti-DHT product is directly binding on the DHT and makes it dysfunction. Because it is one of the protein derivatives so it will not degrade through the hepatorenal pathway.
