Greece Trip Day 8 Breakfast at Adrian Hotel

This hotel is good in the location, roof top breakfast and modern bathroom except the room:)

The lady downstairs is still sleeping. Birds are chirping and we had a nice and peaceful morning. 

Actually we started liking this hotel. We can keep the balcony door open and get fresh air. Luxury hotels' windows are not openable. Feel like we really live in Athens. The decoration of the room is not my taste, but my husband likes it. It is IKEA kind.

Greece Trip Day 7 Back in Athens

Came back to Athens. We have 3 more nights here. Down grading to a business hotel in Plaka, we are disappointed. We have to save money:) this hotel is minimal and reminds me of Japanese business hotel. We hear loud lady down stairs. Nobody else is loud. She just talk loud on the balcony :( However we have a great view of Acropolis specially at night!

Wifi didn't work well, so we went to the restaurant cross the street and I updated my blog. Their Wifi was cutting off many times and I had a hard time updating. It's important for me to write how I felt at that time before I forget it. Here is my food, chicken Gyros. I want to eat a wrapped one.

He wants to eat, too.

Only the bathroom is renovated. Looks good.

Greece Trip Day 7 Easter, Good Bye Santorini!

As following Greek tradition, we broke red eggs. It's Easter! It is hard to leave this dream like place. We had excellent time. We miss this beautiful suite and killer view!

Greece Trip Day 6 Before Easter

We came back to our area. There are nice looking restaurants here, too,

Woke up around 11:30pm and went to the near by church, which is about 10 steps away:)

Attended the Easter ceremony, pictures were not allowed. Everybody holds a lite candle in a small church next to each other, I was so afraid of catching on fire:) 

We were looking forward to watching fireworks from our room, but they were so far away. It didn't worth taking a picture. Sumida River fireworks in Japan was the best I had ever seen so far.

We like this restaurant and came back again! I ate the same thing, carbonara:) Funny lighting on Ken's forehead:)

And we came back to another restaurant again to take two dome pictures:) The waitres and waiter remembered my hub :)

Greece Trip Day 6 Oia and Cats

This is the last day we can do activities in Santorini because we are going back to Athens. We planned to go to a church at night so we just chilled out in Oia again. 

Greek pizza was delicious!

We had a cute company at the restaurant.

Rent a cat no we didn't rent them. They were everywhere!

Greece Trip Day 6 Nefeli

We are moving back to the previous room Foivos today. The jacuzzi of Nefeli is three times as big as Foivos's. Staying in a cold day, Nefeli is the best! Foivos is for a warm day. We were just informed that tomorrow is Easter and there are a lot of celebrations in churches. We are going to attend one near our hotel and come back to see fireworks from our room. I thought I made a mistake of booking in Easter because many shops are closed, but I am glad that we can experience this special occasion here. We travel this time of year (we can't afford summer time) and happen to be Easter quite often.

The hotel provided us the Easter kit. We are tempted to eat a whole thing, but we are glad that we didn't. Red eggs are supposed to be broken on Easter.

Greece Trip a Day 5 Donkey Ride!

Coming back from volcano, we had donkies carry us up the hill. I had never ridden horses before, so this was one of the most memorable activities for me.

At first my donkey was restless and I had a doubt that I got the worst one. He took off very quickly and scared me, but he was just competitive:) He was the first one arrived at the destination. He was warm and worked hard carrying me. He had to take a break many times on the way. I felt sorry for him. 

During this short ride, I developed an attachment to this donkey. Thank you for carrying me up! I love him!

The volcano tour finished around 5pm. Fira got really cold. We looked for a restaurant, which is covered by walls. Most of the restaurants have no covers and outside dining. 

I ate carbonara again. Because I lost my sweater, I was really cold and forgot donkey pictures we paid for at the restaurant:(

Freezing! Nobody is on the streets. 

Greece Trip Day 5 Volcano and Hot Spring

At this time we'd never imagined how hard walking up the hill was! We, Californians, are not used to a lot of walk:)

We made it to the top. Yay!

A Guide book says  Fira looks like snow on the mountain. It is true! How magnificent the view is. It is worth taking a ship.

I lost my sweater somewhere in the trail

Here is the hot spring. Only 30% of people jumped in and we didn't. Ken can't swim and I am not an excellent swimmer either. They said it wasn't worth because the hot part was still not hot at all:)
