I like a rustic and charming town like this because I am into antique furniture. Stopping by the antique store.
Here we are starting a tour. They built 235 steps down in Moaning Cavern but it is deeper than that. There is a tour that goes through the hole with ropes, but of course we just did a walking tour
The human skull on the display is 1200 years old. Some people got stuck there and couldn't get out at that time.
We were allowed to tough and pad the walls at the beginning part. They are hollow and make a nice percussion like sound.
From here we went down the spiral stairs. Chocolate draperies
Since this cavern is so deep, the draperies are very long and impressive. It is different from California cavern, which is almost flat. I am glad that we did both.
They are said 400000 years old. Did the earth exist that long ago?
The camera can take only partial view at one time so it can't show how big and deep it is.
The tour guide lady turned off all the lights and we experienced total darkness!

On the way back, another traffic! It was a mountain fire! The fire was right next to the road!
Coming back to our area. We ate at the restaurant which Ken sometimes plays.
