どうも、M.S.です。
先日、とある事情でオフィスと自宅の私物整理をしました。私はサイバーエージェントに入る前と、結婚する前に、かなり大規模な私物整理のGC(それぞれ、stop the world 2.5日間ぐらい)をしていたんで、今回は甘くみていたんですが、次から次へと懐かしいものが相変わらず出てくる...モバギの増設RAMとかPalm(Visor)の大量の周辺機器、お手製PLIPケーブルに同型ノートパソコンの液晶。二度と使わないものばかりですが……この中であえてもう一度使い続けたいものを選べといえばPalmでしょうか。
AndroidでGraffitiが動作するようになったのは皆さん、ご存知と思いますが、やっぱりVisorにあった実機の軽快感と専用手書きボックスとはだいぶ違う訳で、あれをメインで使っていたころが、一番M.S.は情報整理の精度が高かった気がします。
掃除の時、嫁が「なんでこれ(Palm,5台)とかこれ(Old Pentium Note.6台*は沢山あるのに、まともなスーツ一着しか持ってないのよ！」といって、キレられましたが、サイバーエージェントのオタク担当としては、これも業務の一環ということで。よろしいかと。
*秋葉原で500-2000円で買ってきた同型のやつ。自宅でのクラスタテスト用に便利なので...以前は28台ぐらいあって、部屋の押入れにしまって（隠して）いた為、嫁にエロ本と勘違いされました。
さて、今回のエントリはGakuさん。現在はバックエンド、バックオフィスのシステムを担当をしていただいていますが、半年ほど前に、当時不安定、低速だったアメーバの検索システムをリニューアルした時のことを書いていただいています。
ところで、部活動を正式な制度として認めている会社というのは多くあると思いますが、サイバーエージェントにも当然あります*。で、Gaku氏は何を隠そう、サイバーエージェント「カレー部」の部長、私M.Sは副委員長です。２人で部を立ち上げ、最盛期は20人近くまで部員を広げ、毎月のように活動していたんですが、最近は、カレー部に対抗してできた（らしい）「サイバーエージェントからい部」に、圧倒的に押されてます。
まあ、スープカレー「心」の１００倍とか平気で食べる、ちょっとイッちゃってる人たちなので、ライバル心を燃やすのもあれなんですが、活動が止まった原因は、何を隠そう私なんですよね。私が幹事の会が、引越しとかさなってそれっきり...。このままでは、カレー大好きなT氏に申し訳ないので、サンフランシスコ、シリコンバレー周辺でおすすめのカレー屋を３件ほど。

Hello, folks. I'm M.S.
The other day I tidied up my personal belongings at our U.S. office and my home. First of all, I think it was easier this time than the two times I did it previously. The first time was when I got married, and the second was before I entered this company.However, I underestimated the difficulty of the job.I found plenty of old mementos and IT appliances.
But If there is one item I would like to use again, it is Palm. It is, as you may know, one of the world-famous PDAs. One greatest feature of Palm is Graffiti. The Graffiti writing system allows us to write characters and the alphabet easily, as if the screen were paper. Many blog readers already know you can use Graffiti on Android-based cell phone. However, I think it is quite different from a real Palm in response speed and recognition quality. I think my business information management IT skills were at their highest level while I used Palm.
My wife berated me while I was cleaning up because I have five Palm devices and six old laptop computers in comparison with only one formal suit. However, I'm not a PR representative. I'm a chief technology representative. It is my business.
Well...the following article was written by G.T. He is now in charge of the back-end and back-office IT system. Six month ago, he worked as an Ameba Search system representative. That's why he wrote about the Ameba Search renewal project.
By the way, most Japanese companies allow their workers to make groups and to do group activities like playing baseball or conversing with one another in foreign language. Of course there are a lot of group activities in our company. Actually, G.T. is the chairperson of the CyberAgent Curry Group. I'm assistant chairperson. This curry group was very popular for workers. We have about twenty group members and active every month. However, CyberAgent Spicy Food Group is more common for workers. The reason our group activities decreased was because of me. I suspended my responsibilities at the time when I should have been organizing our activities because I had to move to the U.S.
