The best season for icecream!
ってことで、
週末、久しぶりに行ってきました。
So my husband and I went to Sakuma farm to have the delicious ice cream there.
佐久間牧場
佐久間に行く時は 歩く
と決めているんです。
We make it a rule not to go by car, but on foot.
車で10分でいける距離
歩くと片道一時間は、はっきり言って、しんどい…
でも、歩いて行った方が、アイスが断然うまくなる。
というのが、眼目。
It is exhausting walking for about one hour there.
Actually it only takes ten minutes by car.
But this way we can enjoy the icecream even better.
That’s the point.
炎天下 歩くこと約一時間。
We walked in the burning sun for about an hour as usual.

Sakuma farm is right over there!
と思ったら、
な、なんか、すごい人だかりが…
Hey, what’s that crowd in front of the shop?

カフェスペースは、今は閉鎖中
テイクアウトのみです。
Now the inside cafe is closed.
They only deal with to -go ice creams.
炎天下 待つ事さらに約30分
We have to wait for another 30 minutes outside in the heat.
かなり辛いけど
これでますますアイスがうまくなる、というもの。
It’s a real torture.
But I know it sure will make the ice cream taste like we are heaven!
Finally it’s our turn.

It’s always fun to look at all the flavors, wondering what to choose.
外で待ってる人たちのことが気になって
そうもいかない。
However, thinking of the people waiting outside, I just can’t do that.
サクッと注文、サクッと退場。
We need to be fast and swift.

I almost cry out for joy.

The Sakuma ice cream is definitely the best!
ちょっと牛くさいけど
それすら気になりません。(笑)
Even though it is a little smelly with cows around, we don’t care at all.
帰りに 佐久間農園に寄り道
On the way home we dropped in at a farmer’s shop run by Mr. and Mrs Sakuma.

を混ぜたもの。
さっぱりとして なかなかいけました。
新鮮な地元の野菜
何よりのご馳走です。
