成田山に 車のお祓いに行ってきました。
Hi there!
We went to visit Naritasan last Sunday, to have our car purified.
今の時期は空いてるから、楽ちん❗️
一番前のど真ん中でお祓いしてもらいました。
There aren’t so many visitors at this time of the year.
So we were able to take part in the ritual right in the middle.
We stood facing to the priest.
お坊さんが 白いふさふさのやつをサーっとやってくれるんですが、
それが、頭のすぐ真上❗️
風がブワッブワッ
って吹いてるみたいでしたよ。
こりゃ、ご利益ありそうだ〜。
We could feel the sacred stick going side to side just above our heads
Yes, that sacred stick with white fluffy stuff on it.
It was so close that I felt as if strong wind were blowing over us.
Mm, I’m sure it will bring good luck.
お正月や節分は、激コミだけど
今は、ガラガラ
At New Year or on the day of Setsubun it is extremely crowded.
But now it’s so quiet.
We can wander around the street easily.
ゆったり、参道を歩けます。
急な階段を登って
Turtles, also known as the symbol of Narita, are apparently still in hibernation.
亀は冬眠中でした。
しこたま 頭にかけました。
It is said that you should apply the smoke to your weak points, right?
So I tried putting it around my head, wishing my brain to work better.
成田山 やっぱりいいなあ。
清々しい気持ちになります。
Isn’t it beautiful?
I like the atmosphere very much.
It always makes me feel so clean and serene.
成田山のおみくじは、結構当たるという話。
Fortune tellers at Narita are pretty reliable, I hear.
旦那と娘は大吉でした。
Mine was small luck
Husband and Daughter got the big luck.
末吉は、英語で
不確実な 運 だってさ。
ていうか、ちゃんと各国の言葉で対訳をつけてるのが、すごいですね。
成田山 やるねえ。
In English it is translated as uncertain luck.
I’m quite impressed that they provide all these translations in three different languages.
They are doing such a good job.
去年は来れなかったんだよね
しばらくこないうちに
ずいぶん店がかわってました。
Last year we could not make it to come and visit the temple.
To my surprise there are a lot of new shops there.
でも、この店は変わらず
なんか、寂しそう…
Among them we still see many familiar shops as well, such as this pickles shop run by the late actor Umemiya Tatsuo, and the famous restaurant, Surugaya.
相変わらず人気の 駿河屋
老舗の鰻屋さんです。
こちらの店の記事は、また、改めて
We usually get a gift from the temple in return.
かえって新鮮な感じがします。
Rakugan, a kind of Japanese sweets made from sugar, which we rarely eat these days.
I find it very interesting all the more.
