We had the first snow of the year yesterday.
寒ーい日にぴったりの
辛ーいお鍋にしましたよ。
So I prepared a perfect dish for such a freezing day.
Nabe, or Japanese style hot pot, with this soup.
赤から鍋
豚バラの代わりに豚もも肉で。
I used pork loin slice instead of pork belly, which is healthier, considering my husband being on diet.
真っ赤っか❗️ いい色〜。
めっちゃいい香り❗️
複雑な出汁が効いていて、いい味〜❗️
Wow! All red!
It smells so good as well as looks good.
And it actually tastes good with so many different kinds of spices.
最近いろんな鍋スープに凝ってるんです。
By the way I am really into this sort of ready made Nabe seasoning.
手軽に使えるし、
これ一つで、味が決まっていいですねー。
It is very convenient.
You can make the perfect soup very easily.
この前使った
白味噌肉鍋つゆ
これも、マイルドで美味しかったなあ。
Here is another one, which we liked a lot.
This white one tastes nice and mild, on the contrary to the red one.
鍋の季節
まだまだ いろいろ試してみたいです。
Now it’s the best season for enjoying Nabe, I would like to try may more kinds.

朝、臨時で個人レッスンの仕事があったんですが、
バイクで出かけて しばらく走ってから
By the way, I was supposed to have a private lesson yesterday morning.
I was about to go to work by bike, but I gave up half way.
Because of the snow, the visibility was so poor that I could not go any further.
あ、こりゃダメだ、
と諦めて引き返しました。
ヘルメットって、
雪が降ると、前に積もって
何も見えないんです。
The snow sticking on to the helmet blocks view, as you know.
ワイパー付きのヘルメットなんて、
あったら便利だと思うんだけどねえ。
It would be nice if there were a helmet with wiper blades.
Don’t you think so?

Slice と言います。
例えば
Pork belly slice 豚バラ薄切り
Pork loin slice 豚もも薄切り
こんな風にいいます。
