I still have got some other souvenirs from Kyushu.
Mentaiko, or spicy fish eggs.
Fukuya is one of the most well-known mentaiko brand names.
ふくやの 明太子
角煮まんは、炎天下持ち歩いた娘ですが…
これだけは、流石にクール便で
送ってくれました。
Daughter asked for the refrigerated delivery service, whereas she had kakuni man carrying around with her all day.
ていうか、前もって
明太子を頼んでいたのですが、
クール便で送りなよ、と言っておきました。
Well, actually we had told her to do so beforehand.
Otherwise she might have...
言ってなかったら…
明太子も、
持ち歩いてたりして。
Mm, who knows what would have happened to it then.
明太子は、白いご飯が一番だけど
It is definitely the best to have it with rice, most of you may claim.
However there is plenty at hand, so I just wanted to try some different ways of cooking.
たっぷりあるので
いろいろ使ってみました。
The first one is tofu with mentaiko.
明太子のっけ 冷奴
見たまんま。
説明するまでもないよね。
Well, there is no need for further explanation, right?
Just put mentaiko on top of tofu.
No additional soy sauce is necessary.
Mentaiko itself gives enough taste to tofu.
明太子の塩っけで いただきます。
You can find its genuine taste all the more for its simplicity.
Mm... Fukuya ‘s mentaiko is great!
シンプルに、明太子の美味さが際立ちます。
ふくやの明太子は、やっぱり美味いなあ。
Next comes potato salad with mentaiko.
明太ポテトサラダ
マヨネーズ不使用。
水切りして崩した豆腐
クリームチーズを使いました。
I substituted mayonnaise with tofu and cream cheese.
And instead of cucumber, it has this pickles inside.
Takana, which is also from Kyushu.
きゅうりの代わりに、こちら
高菜を入れました。
あとは、刻みらっきょう
And some chopped らっきょう as well.
九州インスパイア系 ポテトサラダ
ってとこですね。
I’d call it potato salad with the spirit of Kyushu.
さて、今回のイチオシ❗️
これは、美味いよ〜❗️
Now this is my best recipe today!
Mentai cheese potato.
明太チーズポテト❗️
じゃがいもは、1センチくらいにスライスして、チンしておきます。
Slice potatoes into 1cm thin.
Microwave.
それぞれに、明太子を塗り
とろけるチーズをのせて
Spread mentaiko on the surface.
Sprinkle some pizza cheese.
トースターなどでこんがり焼きます。
Bake it until it’s golden brown.
これ、マジで、すっごい美味い❗️
It’s really very yummy!
And it really goes well with beer!
ビールにぴったりですよ。
いやー、明太子って、いろいろ使えますね。
I’m very impressed that mentaiko can be used for various kinds of dishes.
And it’s all delicious anyway!
それにしても、
ふくやの明太子は美味いなあ。
