One morning, I saw a new born butterfly flying away from a branch of the orange tree in our yard.

我が家のミカンの木には、
毎年 アゲハさんが、卵を産みにきます。

Every year, many butterflies come to it and lay eggs onto its leaves.

An orange farmer would be mad at them, but I don’t mind that.

I just enjoy watching them grow and become beautiful butterflies.

The tree is supposed to be around 17years old.
My kids planted some seeds off the fruits for fun and one of them eventually grew into a very tall tree.

にょきにょき伸びるばっかりで、
ちーっとも実がならない…
青虫の餌になるばかり。
It keeps growing taller and taller, but actually never seems to have fruits.
Instead, it provides good fresh leaves for caterpillars.
まあ、いいさ。
青虫さんのご飯になれば。
アゲハさんも、見られるし。
