江ノ島散歩の話。

It’s about our drive to 江ノ島 during GW.
We found a very nice little cafe then.
江ノ島で見つけた、可愛いカフェ

I am not sure how to read the name.
I guess it’s read, Muto, probably taken from the owner’s name.
Sorry if I’m wrong.

オーナーさん、ムトウさん、かな、と。
違っていたらごめんなさい。
Go down the small street behind the station of 小田急江ノ島, and you’ll find a cute hand-written sign.
That’s the place.
手書き看板 味があるね。
気になりました。
Homemade vinegar squash?
Sounds interesting!
But we all ordered coffee.
Judging from the menu, the owner seems to have strong affection to coffee.
でも、コーヒーも、こだわりがあるみたい。
やっぱり、コーヒーにしようかな。
オーナーさんが、
一つ一つ、丁寧にコーヒーの説明をしてくださいました。
He was so kind as to explain to us about each kind of coffee in detail.
インドネシアのマンデリン
旦那は ブラジリアンモカ
娘はブレンド をチョイス。
ん？このコーヒーカップ
内側にひびが入り、
模様のようになっていました。
貫入 と呼ばれる模様。
実家で使っていたやつも、こんな風になっていたなあ。
母が、大切にしていました。
懐かしいなあ。
Those cups looked very familiar to me.
It reminded me of the cups my family user to have.
They had the same kind of cracks inside.
They are actually not cracks.
It’s called 貫入, which appears on the surface of potteries, which will eventually turn into beautiful markings.
I remember my mother taking very good care of them.
It’s a sweet memory of my childhood.
手作りケーキも、美味しかった。
The cakes are delicious too.
Apparently it’s the owner himself who makes them.

ふわふわだけど、しっとり。

めっちゃ濃厚で これまた美味〜…
コーヒーに、よく合います。
It’s a good match with coffee.
熱い語り方から察するに
ケーキも オーナーさんの手作りみたい。
The owner is a gentle- looking man, but i could see he has deep passion for his coffee and cakes.
穏やかな風貌のオーナーさんですが、
ケーキやコーヒーへのこだわり、
内に秘めた情熱が、
伝わってきました。
ちなみに、テラス席もあるから
ワン連れオーケーです。
There is a terrace outside, where we can stay with dogs.
いいお店でした。
ここは、リピ 決定だな。
We really liked the place.
I think we are going to visit there again.

崎陽軒の月餅は、小ぶりで 食べやすいのがいいんですよね。
中華街とかの本格月餅って、

They are relatively small in size, which I find just perfect for snack.
The ones sold in Chinatown are too big!
This is their most popular item, シウマイ
定番、シウマイ

これ、大事。
Be sure to pronounce it シウマイ、not シュウマイ.
That’s very important.
いつもお土産買うだけの
崎陽軒のレストラン
いつか 食事でも、行ってみたいです。
We often drop at by the restaurant run by 崎陽軒 but only to buy souvenirs.
One day I would like to try and have dinner there as well.
江ノ島 is always full of fun.
I hope to go there and enjoy a walk with 志朗 again soon.
