Although it’s freezing cold, 志朗 is full of energy!
Looks like such cold weather is just comfortable for him.
As he’s got such warm fur all over himself.

The year of 2018 is going to end soon.
私、なぜか
年末休みになってから
ずーっと一日 時差ボケしておりまして…
I’ve been running one day ahead of the time since last Friday.
And I jumped the gun and prepared the New Years Eve dinner one day in advance.
Here is our 年越し蕎麦.
Well, it’s actually laksa, not Japanese soba, though.
なぜかフライングで 作っちゃった…
年越しそば、ならぬ
年越しラクサ
シンガポールの友人にもらって、
取っておいたやつ。
This is the one I got from my friend in Singapore.
I kept it for a special occasion like this.
Yum!
It’s a delicious bowl of noodles with unique coconut milk soup.
ココナッツミルク風味のスープに
麺がよく からんで
まぁ〜、これが、
バカウマ❗️❗️
Prima taste のインスタントラクサ
日本では、カルディで購入可。
結構 いい値段するんだけどね。
We can buy one at Kaldi in Japan, but it’s relatively expensive.
Inside there are noodles, and two other packets.
中身はこんなです。
ペーストと、粉末スープ
麺の三点セット
Apparently the premix powder is just the ordinary coconut milk powder.
The key is this laksa paste, I guess.
ただのココナッツパウダーでした。
水で溶いて麺を入れたら
味の秘密は、ペーストみたいですね。
Mix them into water and bring to boil.
Then cook noodles in it.
7分茹でます。
麺があと茹で
って、変わってるでしょ？
でも、7分茹でても、伸びず
もっちりシコシコのまま
Cook for seven minutes.
That long?
Yes!
Even after seven minutes of cooking, noodles remain al dente.
It’s so yummy as the one we have in Singapore, probably better than the ones served at Asian restaurants in Japan.

フライングしてしまったけど

美味しくいただきました。
Though it was not exactly 年越し蕎麦,
we fully enjoyed the laksa noodles.
しかし、なんで一日 時差ボケしてたかなあ…
How come I was so careless to make such a mistake, I wonder.
It’s quite typical of me anyway.
最後の最後にドジってしまいました。
私らしいというか、なんというか…
PS フライング する を英語でいうと？
Jump the gun です。
直訳すると ピストルの音を飛び越える、というイメージです。
例文です。
I jumped the gun and made a terrible mistake.
フライングして、大失敗してしまった。
