立ち寄ってしまうところ
Hi there!
Here is another one we usually drop in at when we go to 江ノ島.
It’s the restaurant run by 崎陽軒.
崎陽軒の直営レストラン
国道一号線沿いにいきなり現れる
ド派手なからし色の洋館。
やたらと目立つ この建物
ナンジャコリャ❓ と思った方
それが、崎陽軒のレストランです。
Look for a mustard-colored fancy looking building along Route 1.
It stands out so much that you’ll hardly miss it.
By the way , the color might come from the mustard for シウマイ, I guess.
ところでこのからし色だけど。
やっぱり、シウマイゆえに、 辛子❓❓
…知らんけど。
There are two restaurants inside, one Chinese and the other Italian.
It’s interesting that 崎陽軒, the famous シウマイmaker, produces the Italian restaurant.
ちなみにうちは、
食事をするわけではなく
いつもお土産を買うだけです。
Actually we have never had a chance to dine there.
We go there only to buy souvenirs.
昔ながらのシューマイ

って、いわなくちゃね。
失礼しました。
We bought this traditional style シウマイ.
I should pronounce it so, as it is written on the box.
季節柄、月餅もありました。
Now they sell seasonal moon cakes.
確かに、目先が変わっていて
It’s an assortment of five flavors,
Red beans, chestnut, black sesame, sweet potatoes and matcha.
味は
あずき 栗 黒ごま 焼き芋 宇治抹茶
の五種類
日本人好みに小ぶりで食べやすい。
They are small in size, which is preferable for Japanese.
本格的中華の月餅もよいけれど
こういうアレンジ月餅も、またよいですね。
Besides those authentic Chinese mooncakes, I like this sort of moon cakes arranged in some Japanese way.
Talking about 崎陽軒’s シウマイ,
I always find it very strange that there are quite a few of them without green peas.
Why?
崎陽軒のシウマイ といえば
グリーンピースが
あったりなかったりするのは、なぜ❓❓
って思うの私だけ❓
ちなみに旦那は 気にしたことない、そうですが。
Am I the only one to wonder why?
Actually my husband says he has never cared about it in his life.
And this cute little guy with soysauce!
そして、 この、醤油差し❗️
なんとも言えない 絵柄が いい味出してますよね〜。
ついつい、集めてしまいます。

中華風のおせちには、

I found a booklet advertising their original New Year special boxes.
My husband doesn’t really like Japanese osechi, but he got really moved by it.
It certainly looks good!

美味しそう。
Particularly this special シウマイwith かずのこ.

これ、食べてみたいなあ。
中華のおせちって、 悪くないかも。
Mm, it looks great!
