Yesterday we four went to have a memorial photo taken at the studio in Shinjuku, in advance for the coming of age of our daughter.
前撮り つまり 成人式の前に 記念撮影だけやってしまうというやつです。
今は こんなふうに、写真だけ ちゃっちゃと 撮るのが 主流みたいです。
成人式の本番頃に撮ると 大変だからね。いいアイディアだと思います。
Now it is common to take a photo in advance or after the ceremony.
I think it is a very good idea.
前撮りと 同じく 後撮りってやつも あるそうですが、うちは前撮りにしました。
せっかくだから家族写真も撮ろう❗️って事で 大阪から息子も駆けつけてくれました。
We thought of taking a photo of us four as well as Daughter herself.
So our son came back home this weekend for that purpose.
新宿の 伊勢丹写真館
こちらで 撮っていただきました。
我が家の お気に入りの写真館です。
実はうち 結構家族写真が好きなんです。
今までも 子供達の 進学や、息子の卒業などに合わせて 4回記念撮影しています。
伊勢丹写真館 is our family's favorite photo studio.
We have several memorial photoes taken at the place.
Their works are always excellent.
This time Daughter was dressed up in kimono at the beauty salon next to the studio.
写真を見ると その時の思いや 子供達の様子が 鮮やかに思い出されます。
形に残すって いいもんですね。
We have taken our family memorial photoes four times altogether.
It's muc to have a look at them from time to time, then they remind me of the time we took the photo, and recall how we felt at that time clearly and vividly.

親バカです。 でも 本当によく似合っていて びっくりしました。
I might be exaggerating but she looked really wonderful in kimono.
普段の 真っ黒に日焼けした おてんば娘 が
見事な変身ぶりでした。
I used to wear this kimono when I participated the coming of age.
背は 娘の方が 二、三センチ高いくらいですが、丈はぴったりでした。
The size was just perfect for her, as she in slightly taller than me.
着付けと メイクはこちらの写真館の併設された 美容院で お願いしました。 とっても 上手でしたよ。
They do the hair and makeup too.
Of course! They are very good at it.

の連発。Boys are completely in love with her.
They keeps extolling her all the time.
せっかくだから 私も着物で。
これは 母の形見。
茶道をたしなむ人だったので 着物はいろいろ持っていた母。
形見に残してくれたんですが ずっとタンスの肥やしになってました。
ようやく 日の目を見て 母も 喜んでいるかなあ。
I got dressed up in kimono, too.
This one belonged to my mother.
She used to practice tea ceremony, and I got her kimonos as her memento.
I put on this kimono for the first time in many years.
I suppose my mother would be very glad to see us in kimono in the heaven.
それにしても 着物って 大変❗️
前もって 必要なものを揃えるだけで 一苦労しました。
ヘアメイクと 着付けで二時間
着ている最中は 普段のように 楽な姿勢で休む事もできないし トイレにも行けない…
昔は 面倒くさかったんだなあと思います。
By the way I realize now what a hard work to live in kimono.
While wearing it you can't move as easily as usual, you can't even lay back and relax.
However it gives you a feeling of being a genuin Japanese.
I myself felt very elegant in kimono.
Maybe I would like to learn more about kimono and learn how to wear one by myself one day.
でも 着物を着ると 気持ちが シュッとしますね。
そして なんだか自分が急におしとやかになったような 気分です。
着物って 素敵。
いつか ちゃんと着付けを勉強してみたいな と思いました。
Although it was such a hard day yesterday,
I had such a good experience.
And most of all we are so glad to see our beautiful daughter in kimono.
I am sure it will be our greatest family memory.

息子と 一杯いただきました。
今日 息子はまた 大阪に戻ります。
