The geranium in our house is now blooming.
別に 珍しい花でもないんですが
これ、 私にとっては、ちょっと特別なゼラニウム。
Geraniums are very common, you can see them often just anywhere.
But to me this is the special one, as I planted the broken twig and it grew to be this big.
折れていた枝を 試しに挿しておいたら 育ってくれたんです。
It's been more than a year since I planted the twig.
I am glad it could take root well and now has flowers blooming.
二年目にして、ようやく花が咲いてくれました。
I myself was a little surprised to find out that a geranium does take root so easily.
I am impressed by its vitality.
ゼラニウムが 挿し木出来るとは…
自分で試しておいて言うのもナンですが
ちょっとした発見でした。
生命力があるんですねえ。
ゼラニウムには 独特の香りがありますね。

Geraniums have a peculiar strong smell.
It's known to keep insects away, so it's a good way to plant them at the front door as a repellent.
It's also nice to look at.
この香り 虫除け効果があるそうですね。
玄関に 植えておくと 見た目も可愛くて いいですね。
虫刺されが気になるこの季節
ゼラニウムが咲いてくれたのは 嬉しいです。

私がいると 蚊が全部こっちに来ちゃうから、虫除けになるという事らしいです。
蚊取り線香は あんまりだよね。
せめて ゼラニウムにしてください
なんてね。

Insect bite インセクトバイト です。
蚊に刺される事を Mosquito bite モスキートバイト と言います。
例文です。

昨夜 いっぱい蚊に刺されちゃった。
