My roommate and I got a old used dining table and 3 chairs.
Chairs need a lot of repairs, but we do not need the nicest things in the world. We both are hoping that this will be the last shared house before one of us leaving or both of us leaving for some special reasons. (Maybe going to different state for another work, getting married or going back to Japan..... or something pretty big for our lives)
Also it is so easy to spend money to buy something nice.....
but we just thought we should have fun whatever we can do when we still share house
My co-worker just bought house and he did not need the dining table set, so he gave it to us!! So we decided to paint the thing and fix the chair cusions after that.
Today, we painted the dining table
First real painting in our lives
Two girls painting in front of the house....... that might look pretty strange......
But oh well-
So here is the original dining set
Pretty old.... and not very pretty-
First, we took off the coating by sand papers.
Second, we put primer on the surface of them.
We both are blood type A........
That is pretty bad conbination when we have to work on something like this......
We have to make it PERFECT
Well..... We tried so much.......
But we had to give up after getting way to tired by the sun and heat
It was really really really hot outside today!!
Then we painted with light green color
These look white, but actually these are light green......
We painted several layers since we need to make it PERFECT as I mentioned above
Well after all, painting came out pretty nice and CUTE
