Fujitsu Stylistic Q702 and T902

Welcome to a laptop battery specialist of the Fujitsu Laptop Battery

To me Fujitsu is a company that lost its way a long time ago, but it’s notable the fact they’ve supported Microsoft with their Tablet PC concept more than a decade ago, when it was first introduced. They did some tablets in the past three years, all Windows based, so it comes as not surprise the company has announced two new convertibles, the Q702 and T902 from the Stylistic series.

There’s nothing stylish about the two, to tell you the truth, but what’s worth mentioning is that these two come with Windows 7 at the moment, but will fully support Windows 8 when it will launch in October. Let’s see in short what we’re dealing with here:

Fujitsu STYLISTIC Q702 hybrid tabletThe 11.6 inch Fujitsu Stylistic Q702 is company’s vision of a Transformer tablet, with a body that looks like a normal notebook when docked. As expected, this is an x86 model, featuring the latest Intel Ivy Bridge Core i3 and i5 processors helped by 4 GB RAM and 64/128 SSD drives.

The keyboard dock adds a removable 4-cell battery such as Fujitsu Lifebook S6200 Battery , Fujitsu FPCBP80 Battery , Fujitsu Lifebook S6220 Battery , Fujitsu Lifebook S2020 Battery , Fujitsu FPCBP64 Battery , Fujitsu Lifebook S6120 Battery , Fujitsu N5485 Battery , Fujitsu Lifebook T4000 Battery , Fujitsu Lifebook T4020 Battery , Fujitsu FPCBP121 Battery , Fujitsu LifeBook N3400 Battery , Fujitsu LifeBook N3410 Battery and a few other ports to the mix, just like ASUS’ own Transformer slates. The Gorilla Glass screen is not as high resolution as the latest Android and Apple tablets, but comes with pen support, something business users often crave for in the aforementioned platforms.

As you can see from the official pictures released by Fujitsu, the T902 is a classic tablet PC, with a non detachable rotating screen. What’s interesting about the hinge is that it goes both ways, without breaking of course. This means one less thing to remember and less chances to break the expensive tablet. Processors in this case can be bumped to i7 models, the screen is now 13.3 inches with a good resolution of 1600 x 900 px, and 10 fingers multi-touch support.

The increased size means added weight, so we’re talking now more than twice the weight of the Q702: 4.1 lbs instead of just 1.88. It’s still a good value for a convertible 13 inch tablet PC, but it’s not world class leading.

Both tablets have the security features needed by business professionals, so it’s clear these two Fujitsu tablets are not for the mainstream consumer. Since prices start accordingly at $1099 for the Q702 and $1899 for the T902 I don’t expect a huge market wanting these two, especially after looking at the dated design, but you shouldn’t discount them if looking for this type of product just because of the looks.
