Aluminum core PVC insulated wire, commonly known as plastic insulated aluminum core wire, is a common insulated conductor. Methods to identify poor quality aluminum core insulated wires are as follows:
(1) Inner core. The core of high-quality aluminum wire is silver white and soft; the color of poor quality aluminum core insulated wire core is blackened and hard. If the wiring test is carried out, the defects of poor quality aluminum core insulated wire will be exposed. It is as hard as steel wire, and the shorter wire ends can not be twisted at all.
(2) Appearance. The color of the high-quality aluminum core insulation wire is relatively bright, and the name or model of the manufacturer is printed; while the appearance of the poor quality aluminum core insulation wire is obsolete, and there is no factory name, model and other identification.
(3) Skin. The outer sheath of high-quality aluminum core insulated wire is in close contact with the core wire, while that of inferior aluminum core insulated wire is loose with large sheath and small core.
(4) Length. The length error of each coil of high-quality aluminum core insulation wire is generally 1% - 2%, while that of poor quality aluminum core insulation wire is generally 10% - 20%.
