TopOnlineForexBrokers Launches Free Regulator Verification Hub Covering Nine Financial Authorities
LONDON, July 31, 2026 — TopOnlineForexBrokers , an independent forex broker research publisher, has launched a free regulator-verification hub that walks retail traders through checking a broker's license directly on the public register of the authority that supposedly issued it.
The hub covers nine regulatory regimes across the jurisdictions where the majority of retail forex marketing is directed: the Financial Conduct Authority (United Kingdom), the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, BaFin (Germany), the Commodity Futures Trading Commission and the National Futures Association (United States), FINMA (Switzerland), the Financial Markets Authority, the ACPR / Banque de France framework, and the British Virgin Islands Financial Services Commission under the SIBA regime.
Each jurisdiction page addresses three points that broker landing pages routinely omit: how to locate the firm on the regulator's own register, what the license actually authorizes the firm to do, and what protection — if any — applies to client money if the firm fails.
“A license number printed in a website footer proves nothing on its own. It has to be looked up on the register, and the entity name on that register has to match the entity you are about to send money to,” said Yaroslav Panchenko, SEM Manager at TopOnlineForexBrokers. “Those two checks take a few minutes, and they rule out a large share of the ways retail traders lose money before they have placed a single trade.”
The entity-matching step is the one most often skipped. A brand marketed to traders in one country is frequently operated by a differently named group company registered in another, under a licence with a narrower scope than the marketing implications. Where the contracting entity sits offshore, protections available in the advertised jurisdiction — segregated client money rules, compensation schemes, complaint escalation to an ombudsman — may not apply at all.
The hub therefore instructs readers to compare the entity name in a broker's client agreement against the register entry, rather than relying on the regulator's logo or a license number displayed on the site.
What the hub includes
- Step-by-step register lookup instructions for each of the nine regimes, using the regulator's primary public database.
- Scope-of-licence explanations — what a given authorization permits, and the common cases where it does not extend to retail margin trading.
- Client-money and compensation notes, including the limits of statutory protection schemes where they exist.
- Documented red flags: mismatched entity names, expired or withdrawn authorizations, clone-firm warnings, and regulators' own public alert lists.
- Companion guides on trading costs and account types, including spread mechanics and the differences between demo and live execution.
A license-first editorial standard
TopOnlineForexBrokers describes its review methodology as license-first: no broker enters its research database until regulatory status has been confirmed on a primary register, and the date of that verification is recorded on the page. Bonus and promotional offers are assessed on their published terms — turnover requirements, eligibility restrictions and withdrawal conditions — rather than on headline figures.
The publisher states that commercial relationships do not affect assessments and that its advertising disclosure is published in full.
“We would rather publish that we could not verify something than publish a rating that looks authoritative and is not,” said Panchenko.
