When I went on a trip to Hong Kong, I was shocked to find that prices were much higher than in Japan.
For example, rice balls and bread in convenience stores were approximately three times as expensive as in Japanese stores.
I had to choose reasonably priced restaurants where numerous Filipino maids could afford to eat.
On the other hand, it was convenient to use public transportation such as buses, trains, and subways because of their low prices.
I could understand why plenty of foreign tourists come to Japan, as they can enjoy shopping due to the depreciation of the yen.
