ACCOUNTABILITY
Foreigners always care about this notion, they want this conception very obviously,
on the other hand, Japanese business people want it vaguely and obscured.
We tend to have difficulty of understanding this term yet we throw away responsibility to
someone else, the, this someone else want to do the same thing for another.
In this vicious circulation, we don't know exactly who is taking initiatives.
That custom irritate them at the foreign affiliates.
Contrary to this Japanese business habit, Americans are well known about quick decision process.
Once the presentation already acknowledged by the decisive authority was done, the project team will be formed with special budget,
then in due course, If the economical environment is fluctuating, they will change the course without any delay or hesitation.
For the Japanese side, their changing attitude is just a nuisance.
As Japanese firms are closely tied with affiliates, subordinates, through the pyramid,
they finally reached the decision, thus they may find it difficult to have process changed.
So-called a lack of flexibility, from the American point of view.
