Before and after the Tokyo Olympic 2020

I saw the hilarious and euphoric look on people's faces by the announcement of Tokyo's Victory over 2 other Olympic candidate cities.

People were holding each other, many were shaking their hands with properly eye contacted,
some even shed tears with all excitement.

Now I pick up the subject of open expressions in Japanese society.
What do we normally observe in many corporate organizations, in the individual households, in schools?

We usually see that we have an inclination to hide our opinions, not to express our thoughts, remarks, criticisms clearly.
It's an obvious contrast to people's faces over the Olympic enthusiasm.

Why is it?

Harmony is what we think is best to let the things go on smoothly in our society.
And confrontation is least welcomed.
We are too much afraid of being in trouble to discuss thoroughly.

But I believe that by exchanging different opinions from all kinds of area , we could find a best solution.
Through only with eager and sincere discussions from every party, we could reach at the plausible answers.

In the Prime Minister's final presentation at the Olympic committee,
he badly assured that the water pollution problem was being solved.
This issue is really big one.

For that kind of important matter, we really need to discuss with every party, not only high officials, professors, and experts, but also to include ordinary people, and some experienced people from Chernobuyllie or Threemile Island.
That might help.

Indeed open expressions are strongly needed.

Tokyo Olympic has a pretty intensive power to change our conventional situation.
It will give us resilience and hope to change for more transparent society.
I hope it will be after the Olympic.
