An English diary to keep my English literacy.

It was rainy and windy, and stayed at home doing preparations for the upcoming Kyushu motorcycling. Such as setting points to the navigation system on my Niken GT. My role is a leader all morning on the third day.

Then, we, me and 3 aged fools, would be at the southernmost of Japan.

On the day, we left hotel and go to Sakura Island by ferry, and went to there, the southernmost point, Cape Sada.

On the way, visit some viewpoints, such as the viewpoint for Sakura Island.

Also, checked some recommended places and roads to there by motorcycling book, named Touring Mapple.

In the evening, went out for the downtown to kill time. The first stop was this fishing gear shop, but bought nothing. The next fishing is on the day after tomorrow. Yes, fishing is upcoming, too.

On the way back to home, had a break at a convenience store, 7 & 11. There bought a cup of cafe latte which was made by a machine. The next machine was making a cup of smusie. Yes, times, they are changing.

And drank it in my car. Yes, time and tide wait for no man, as always, I know it.

Nov has come, and did my monthly job at the first day of every month. That is monthly backup and update of my PC, and maintenance to all my vehicles.

In the morning, did the backup and update at my desktop PC. Along the way, checked route of the third day of Kyushu motorcycling which was upcoming.

And checked air-pressure of all tires, and inflated some of them by my e-inflator.

After it, filled coolant and window-washer fluid. After them, lubed chain oil to all chains of chain-drives vehicles.

And adjusted the chain of my Hunter Cub.

After them all, attached a Kushitani seal of the new helmet which has no brand. Good! The helmet is for Hunter Cub riding. But, no Kushitani leather wear use, LOL!

In the afternoon, went out for a shopping mall to take walking for exercise. Then, found a Rioja wine bottle. Good!

In the evening, it turned rain, but filled gasoline to my car in rain.

Well, that's about it.

After my daily routine, went out by my favorite motorcycle, Niken GT, as a test riding before Kyushu motorcycling from Nov 5th. It worked well, under the autumn sky.

Filled gasoline to it, for the Kyushu motorcycling. It's a good one for long touring.

In the afternoon, went out for a motorcycle gear shop to get a new helmet which ordered a week before. But the shop was not working, why? Mistook the shop.

So, bicycled to the shop, for exercise used bike. It is around 15 kilometers far from my home.

And bought it and got back to my home, by bicycle. It was a bit tough on me.

As the result, 4 helmets are at home. This one is for fishing.

These two are for Niken GT riding, both of them are expensive, around 50,000 yen per a one. One if for wireless communication, and the other is for solo riding.

And this one is the one which borough on the day. It was cheap, less than 9,000 yen. Unbelievable.

It has a sun-shade filter screen, inside, also.

This is for Hunter Cub riding. Good! And is made for only the national motorcycle gear shop chain store.

In the evening, tried to buy an electric tree-branch trimmer which was at Miyajima friend's home. Tried to get it on the web, Amazon. But it refused to be transported. Why?

As the result, bought it at Rakuten shop on the web. And it was around 500 yen cheaper than one at Amazon. No way. Both of them transportation cost were free.

As this was Oct 31th was passed. That was the way, it was Oct 31th 2024.

In short, it was easy and was done all and well by myself.
The most difficult thing was how to take off the left panel of Hunter Cub.

After my daily routine, prepared all gear to change brake fluid of my Hunter Cub, first.

Tire-changing tools were set in another tool box. Like this.

First, took off the notch lost one click of two clicks of right panel of Hunter Cub. The way was known.

And care the parts of brake system and masked it against the brake fluid leak.

And did it to the rear brake system. It was done and was easy. The new tool was only one meter plastic pipe which was 150 yen only.

Then, tried it to the front brake system. Like this.

The plastic 150 yen pipe worked well. Before doing it, had known many hints on the web, YouTubes. Great! If asked it to a shop, the expense would be around 6,000 yen or more.

Once asked a work to a shop which bought this motorbike, the shop lost one click of two of the right panel. And they told me nothing about it! No way! Be hanged!

So attached the new panel to the motorbike. Along the way, found that it needed to move the metal clip from old one to new one. Then, realized to take off the panel from the bike was too hard to do without mistake. Then did it without taking off the attached panel. It was tough.

Used 30 percent of the brake fluid bottle, and kept it with a engine oil bottle, together. Great! Saved at least 4,000 yen.

Along the way, this Germany open wrench was broken. No way! Unbelievable.

Things were done in the morning, and went out for lunch, at Bikkuri Donkey restaurant. There, taught the new man-less system to my wife.

Yes, times, they are changing.

Anyway, things were done well and all by myself. No more asking job to the shop which name was Grand Prix. Be hanged!!!

The rest things were nothing in particular. Checked the garden tree trimmer which was told my Miyajima friend, on the web.

Went out to pick berry of Chinese black pine, we call it 槙. But the season was over.

Well, that's about it. It was an enjoyable day, really.

We got trip to Miyajima to see my old acquaintance who was a VP of Mazuda US. Drove my Jimny Sierra through around 600 kilometers long round trip through toll roads.

Left home at around 7:30 and arrived there at around 12:00. Lon time needed for there was a traffic jam at Takamatsu Station where we bought boxed lunches.

At Miyajima, bought 2 sea eel boxed lunches, also.

And went to his home.

Walked from his garage to gate through this steps in his garden. Good!

We enjoyed lunch, talking and laughing and all that. Good day for us, all.

At around 16:00, left his home and headed for home through toll roads again. On the way, had a brief stop once, and went back home. It took 3.5 hours at the return drive.

When came home, a package was, It was brake fluid which ordered a couple of days before on the net.

We, communicated by email after my arrive. As this way, my trip to Miyajima was a joyful one. Good day, it was, although bad weather.
