** EST’s Online Writing Program: Yoichi’s Journey, Part 2 **
Hello, everyone. I’m Yoichi Fujimori, and my nickname is pojimori.
This week, I focus on improvements made to my own business writing.
The writing course’s goal is to work out what is and what is not necessary to communicate information accurately and quickly, so to be as efficient as possible.
When I submitted my first homework, I wanted to use many phrases that I learned from this course.
My sentences were logical, but not efficient.
I learned it is important to choose words in relation to the reader. We need to change phrases depending on if the person is a colleague or a customer.
Nick advised me on two points:
1) Try to group them together into logically organized paragraphs
2) Consider what you do and do not need to share
I will do my best to keep these two points in mind.
