TUAWによると、City Business Journals Networkが、米国の優れたブランドを選出する「American Brand Excellence Awards」を発表しており、6つあるカテゴリのうちテクノロジー部門でAppleが第一位に輝き，さらには全体の大賞も受賞したそうです。
各部門の受賞企業は下記の通り。

• Financial/Insurance: Visa Inc. (NYSE: V);
• Retail: Staples Inc. (NYSE: SPLS);
• Technology: Apple Inc. (NYSE: AAPL);
• Telecommunications: Verizon Wireless, part of Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ); and
• Travel: Southwest Airlines Co. (NYSE: LUV).
