One of my friend said to me "when I was an undergraduate student, my professor always told me not to be a cooked book. A cooked book means memorizing everthing in studying. Rather, alwaying thinking intuitively is necessary"

By accident, the professor who taught my friend knew a professor who are teaching me and the friend. They belonged to a same university PhD program. Then, the professor of our current class routinely explains "the intuitive point is..." even in a course of complicated mathmatical formulas.

Considering my past, one of my failures in my youth age was overly emphasizing memorizing contents of textbooks and abolishing understanding contents. Of course, memorizing everything was impossible for me, thus I got nothing from my study time. Strictly speaking, I wasted my time...

If I had met an advisor as my friend met, I would have got more....

Recently, even a can of beer makes me drunk...I might be too tired.

I attended a workshop held in my university. For the workshop, I had arranged my comments about the presenation.

Questions by professors are totally different from my questions. Simply speaking, their questions are from broad point. In contrast, my question is trivial, most of them are about logical flaw, or small question.

The reason is that each professor has its own specialized field. Thus, they can examine a presentation from their own viewpoints.

Also, professor's focus is to grasp the main point, and examine its concept/ effectiveness. Mine did not reach the point. The difference might be from understanding of a presenation.

What impressed me was that the presentor had answered questions for 2 hours....So many questions, but he tried to catch points of question, and soon/ immediately give his opinions. Amazing...What an intellectual toughness!

That I can feel atomsphere of this kind of workshop deserves to attend to this university with much debt.
