Here at STM UK we are constantly reminded of how lucky we are to be selling the wonderful product ranges offered to us through STM Spa and GSM Spa and today is no exception. This morning we despatched a set of Heavy Duty Parallel shaft gearboxes to be used on plastic extrusion machines which itself is nothing out of the ordinary. However GSM Spa not only manufacture the Heavy Duty Parallel shaft gearbox but are also good enough to manufacture the Parallel shaft gearbox with the Thrust Bearing assembly for the extrusion process. Unlike with some Parallel shaft gearbox suppliers where you have to buy the Parallel shaft gearbox and then fit your own bearing assembly ours come ready assembled.

In the picture you can see the Parallel shaft gearboxes lined up and ready for shipping. These units were delivered to our customer on a dedicated lorry ready for assembly onto their machines.
GSM Spa also offer further Parallel shaft gearboxes for specific applications such as Parallel shaft gearboxes for Lifting and for Bucket Elevators. These are of course units from the standard Bevel Helical and Parallel Shaft range which have been upgraded to suit the applications involved.

In the picture below you can see us loading one of the Parallel shaft gearboxes onto the trailer. To try and put it into perspective this unit weighed in at over a tonne and overhung a double euro pallet.

This, however, is not the biggest Parallel shaft gearbox we offer, in fact it is only a baby. Again from the GSM range we offer a Parallel shaft gearbox – namely an RXO3/832 which weighs in at over 13 tonnes with a 350mm output, a bit of a beast.
