Hello everyone,
My first golden week in Japan is over and it was very enjoyable. I had a nice, relaxing time last week. Last Friday I went to a barbecue at a friends house. It was lovely sunny weather for the barbecue, which makes a nice change from the ones in Ireland where it usually rains as soon as we light the BBQ! I also got back to playing tennis again. I can`t believe it`s over ten years since I last played tennis. But its just like riding a bike - once you start again it`s easy to learn the skill again. I decided not to travel anywhere for golden week, because I heard some stories about bad traffic before. I heard that most of the people in Japan go travelling during golden week and it can cause large traffic jams, so I decided to stay at home. I hope you had a great golden week and got the chance to relax and enjoy your holiday!

来日して初めてのゴールデンウィークを過ごしたが、とても楽しいGWでした。
先週の金曜日は、友人の家にバーベキュー
をしにいきました。
バーベキューには最高の天気でした。アイルランドでは、つねにバーベキューしはじめると
雨が降ります。バーベキューの後は、久々にテニスをしました。
最後にテニスをしたのが１０年前であることに気づき驚き、信じられませんでした。
でもテニス
も自転車に乗るようなものです。一度やってしまえば、取り戻すのは簡単でした。
ゴールデンウィークは、日本人のほとんどの人が、旅行に行くので、交通が渋滞がひどいと聞いていたので、私は旅行しないと決め、バーベキューとテニス以外は家にいました
