今日はスペイン人はバルセロナ出身、語学にとても長けているローラさんにブログを書いてもらいました
Here we go
Hello!
My name is Lola, I'm 22 years old and I'm currently living in Kyoto, where I attend a japanese language school called Kyoto Institute of Culture and Language. I arrived in Japan in October, and two weeks ago my first semester here finished. Since I love travelling, I decided to make the most of my free time until the new semester starts and travel to Hong Kong!
I was there for almost one week with my boyfriend and we enjoyed it a lot! It was the first time for me travelling to such a big city -even though I've been living in Japan for six months, I still hadn't had the chance to go to Tokyo!-, so it was a completely new experience for me.
Also, the city turned out to be quite different from how I had imagined it. At first I thought it would just be a huge metropolis full of skyscrapers, and of course some parts of the city were like this. But what I didn't know is that a big part of Hong Kong constists in forests and mountains, which I also love! So after we had explored the Kowloon Peninsula and the Central district on the first day, we decided to go outside and visit other places.
On the second day we went to Lantau Island, where the Giant Buddha is. It's a very touristic place, so there was a lot of people. But we also went for a small hike and managed to find some peaceful places.
On the third and fourth days it was a little bit rainy, unfortunately, but that didn't stop us from enjoying our holiday. We decided to go to the Hong Kong Museum of History, which was really interesting and very big!! We spent more than four hours there. On that evening, we visited the markets in Mongkok. On the next day, we travelled to Macau. It is only one hour away from Hong Kong, and apart from being one of the biggest casino cities in the world, it also has a past as a portuguese colony which makes the city really interesting.Sometimes I forgot I was in China, and I had the feeling I was in Lisboa!
Finally, in our last day we went for a hike, following a trail called the Dragon's Back.
We were really lucky, because the weather was very nice!! But it was so sunny, that the back of my neck and my arms got sunburned, haha. Anyway, it was a really nice day and unfortunately the last one of our holiday. Our plane was scheduled for the next day at 12 o'clock. Time really flies when you are having fun!!!
