Konnichiwa everyone!
My name is Ray Jay from Philippines.
It`s my first time here in Japan and everyday I`m always fascinated by the scenery that I often see along the way.
I just arrived 2 months ago and it`s my first time for me to be away from my family for quite a long time.
The only thing that I had when I arrived here was a bag of dreams and determination to succeed.
I want to see what`s at stake for me in the land of the rising sun.
I can say that this is a dream come true because I`ve always loved to visit this country ever since I was a child.
Now my reason for coming here has been broadened and has gotten deeper... I want to find myself and I want to see my limits.
So far, the most memorable event that happened in my life here was when it snowed a week ago in Kyoto.
It was my first snow experience therefore I did not hesitate to post a video of me in the snow.
My friends from the Philippines were very envious that one of them booked a plane ticket for February bound for Osaka.
Winter snow has a great impact among Filipinos because we never have one, even Autumn nor Spring.
In my two months of stay here, I have never met a Japanese that`s not kind.
Everybody so far has been nice to me and they were all hospitable.
I can`t help but fall in love with every tiny bit of its tradition.
It`s like I want to live here forever.
Working at Petit Planet has given me an opportunity to meet a lot of Japanese people and get to know more the culture of Japan.
This is also a good learning avenue for Japanese to learn English as they can practice with Foreign teachers while having fun.
I know English is not easy but with error analysis and constant practice the process gets a bit faster.
The same principle applies to my Nihongo studies.
Learning Nihongo is pretty hard and takes a lot of time but as long at you enjoy every lesson, everything feels easy and fun.
Happy New Year everyone! May 2015 be more prosperous to you and your family!
