Hello Everyone,
My name is Tyler Ayala.
I’m an American from the small town of Medford, Oregon.
I lived there until I was 18 years old.
After that, I went to college in Seattle, Washington.
Both Medford and Seattle are very beautiful places.
My hometown, Medford, has a very small population- only 70,000 people.
Despite having such a small population, it is a very enjoyable place.
The nature is very beautiful and the people are kind.
As well, Medford is located very close to some exciting places.
Medford is just 30 miles north of the border between Oregon and California.
Because most people in small towns in America don’t use public transportation,
we don’t have any trains in my town. Also, we only have a very small number of buses.
For the entire town, there are only 10 buses. 
However, because there are so few people and there are not so many buses,
there is not much pollution, so the air is clean and fresh.
Inside my hometown, we have many tourist areas, such as Jacksonville and Table Rock.
Jacksonville; which is the oldest area in my hometown.
In the 1800s, this area was used for mining gold in the mountains.
Today, there are still many deposits of gold in the mountains
that have not yet been discovered.
Sometimes, some people find gold
in the river that comes from those mountains.
Therefore, many children love to come here hoping to find gold.
Table Rock ;There are actually two of these mountains very close together.
They look like rocks coming from the ground.
They are both flat on top. I have climbed these mountains many times
with my family and friends.
I always enjoy it, and many other people come here to climb them.
Another tourist area of my hometown is the Rogue River.
It is a very powerful river that is sometimes dangerous
so many people like to come here for a challenging boat ride.
One area, Hell’s Gate, is especially difficult. I have only gone there once,
but it was very enjoyable.
As well as having many beautiful tourist areas inside of the town,
there are also some great places within driving distance from my hometown.
Crater Lake; which is an ancient volcano
that is north
just 1.5 hours driving time away from my hometown.
The water inside the lake is so pure, that it is illegal to swim there.
Whaleshead Beach; which is just a 2.5 hour drive west.
I often go there because my family has a small house near the beach and I really like that view.
Aside from tourism, there are some sports activities that I like to do in my hometown,
such as skiing and hunting. Every year, during the winter,
I go with my friends from school to ski on a mountain called Mt. Ashland.
It’s very enjoyable for me. I have been skiing since I was 9 years old.
We often leave home at 6 in the morning and don’t come back until 11 at night.
As for hunting, I go every year during October for two weeks
with all the men in my family.
Often, there are sometimes 20 people that go.
We go into the mountains that surround my hometown
and camp in the middle of the forest.
We wake up every morning at 4 AM and start hunting at 5 AM.
We walk up and down the mountains looking for deer, elk, and bear.
Usually, we get one, but sometimes we are not so lucky.
The forest is very beautiful and we always have fun, even if we don’t get an elk.
In the U.S., it is legal for everyone to have guns.
My family especially enjoys shooting. I have 6 guns and my sister has 4.
As well, everyone else in my family has guns.
Many people think that guns are unsafe and dangerous.
This is true if you are not careful. Guns demand respect.
Therefore, everyone in my family learns safety from both schools and our family.
With safety in mind, guns are very enjoyable.
All in all, I think that my hometown is very enjoyable
and has a lot for people who wish to visit there.
In addition to my hometown, I have also lived in Seattle,
Washington and Anchorage, Alaska.
Both are very beautiful and exciting,
but I don’t have enough space to share my knowledge of these places here.
I hope that you enjoyed reading this and might consider coming to the U.S. to visit.
