■<場面>仮眠中のマークが呼び起こされる
出向いたカウンターに酔っ払ったダグが机にもたれている
Mark: Come on, Doug. お待たせ
Doug: Markie-boy! Did I wake you up? マーク坊や 起こして悪かったか
Mark: Yes, you did. 悪いよ
Doug: You're a real friends ... 持つべきものは友人だ
what you know that... 感謝してるぞ
Mark: That's all right. 知ってるよ
Doug: Real friends. うれしいな
Mark: Yeah. そう、部屋ある?
Doug: We have none of bed...
Jerry: Room 3 is free. ええ、三号室が空いてます
Doug: Room three is free! 三号室だって
Mark: らしいね
Doug: Three is free. Free for three. 三号室にご案内だ、ではでは
Mark: Come on, Doug. だいじょうぶか
Doug: All right, I gotcha. はい先生、
Doug: ♪But come ye back When summer's in the meadow♪
■ダグに肩を貸して三号室に入る
Doug: I can't tell you...how much I appreciate this, Mark.
はーいお着き 大丈夫 感謝してるよ 君には迷惑かけるけど

Doug: I'm a little under the weather. 調子悪くてね
Mark: さあ横になろう
Doug: D5, NS. Ineed the dextrose. 5プロ 生食 ブドウ糖が必要だ
Mark: Give him 600 of ASA. アスピリン600㎜頼む
Doug: Aspirin. I almost forgot aspirin. そうか アスピリンを忘れてた
Doug: So anywhat...she says to me, she says... 知ってるか 彼女がこう言ったんだ

Doug: All right. Give me the fast drip. Ineed the hydration.
先生 点滴頼む 体がカラカラだ
Mark: Don't worry, Doug. Just lie back. おとなしく横になってろ
Doug: How's your beautiful wife, Jennifer? 待った 美人の奥方どうしてる
Mark: She's fine, really. 元気だよ あぁ
Doug: You two settle your problems? トラブル解決したか
Mark: Yeah,yeah. Everything's okay. あぁ解決したよ ご心配なく
Doug :Hate to lose you in the ER, you know. きみを失うのは大きな痛手だ (注1)
Mark: Lie back. 横になって
Doug: I am. I can't tell you how much I appreciate this...
ホントだぞ 何度も言うけど感謝してるんだ
Doug: Really do. ホントだよ
Nurse: Here's your aspirin. アスピリンです
Mark: Give him 2000cc's in a fast drip. 点滴2000ccを早めに落としてくれ
Don't let it run dry. 空にならないようよく注意して
Nurse: Dose he always do this? いつもこうなんですか
Mark: Only on his nights off. オフの夜だけだ

(注1) 同僚のダグは、マークの奥さんから夫にもっと時間と割のいい他の病院へ移ってほしいと要求されていることを知っている。ダグにとってマークの家庭が円満になることを望んではいるが、頼れる同僚がいなくなることの寂しさを含意した台詞。
