#BlackLivesMatter
I bet many Japanese take this problem as non-serious one, however I believe this also matters to Japanese.
I lived in Singapore 8years ago and I got bullied just because I am Asian.
(Not violency! No one ever talked with me. Everyone pretended just like I wasn't there.)
At this point, some of you might think that
"Wait, why do you get bullied by that reason? Singapore is in Asia. That's impossible!! "
That's right. Here is the key point.
"I went to the International school"
Most of my classmates were from Europe or US, known as "popular" group and didn't talk with Asians until allow or approve something.
I didn't know the "something" at that time.
Then, how could I be friend with them?
ANSWER; Became best basketball player in the school.
I was the only 14year old girl played for U19 team (skipping U15!) and fortunately, basketball was one of the most popular sports in the school.
At first, my teammates started talking with me and I was natulally with the classmates at some point.(Don't remember clearly when that was though.)
Sorry to write so long to tell just one point but my massage in this blog was
NOT ONLY BLACK BUT SEGREGATION EXISTS TO ASIAN TOO
and I think this cannot be changed while Japanese long for the western people.
Many Japanese are likely to dream for the Western.
To show you the proof, many Japanese say the half Japanese and Western are ALWAYS beautiful and handsome because their DNA differs with us.
I don't say that Westerns' aren't beautiful. I know they really are, but modesting too much may humble for most of the time and lose confidence cunconsciously.
This talk became too different from the problems happening in US right now but this was what I thought from the recent days and I am pretty sure for this happens in few years later again...
History never change, returns again.
People cannot easily change.
I just have to be proud of being Japanese.
