たいていの家ではその池でコイを養殖しています
Most houses are raising carp in that pond

何故コイなのかというと、池で大きく成長するからだと思います
Why is it such a carp? Because it grows bigger in the pond

赤祖父湖はフナ釣りで有名になってしまいました。
The Akasobu lake has become famous for Crucian carp fishing.

しかし、この地域でフナを食べる習慣はありません。
But, there are no customs that a Crucian carp is eaten in this area.

私たちにとってフナはいまいちなのです
We don't want to fish a small Crucian carp.
