There are schools all around the world.
There are big schools and little schools, new schools and old schools.
Is your school big or little?
Is your school new or old?
世界中に学校があります。
大きな学校もあれば小さな学校もあり、
新しい学校もあれば古い学校もあります。
あなたの学校は大きいですか、
それとも小さいですか?
あなたの学校は新しいですか、
それとも古いですか?
1. Let's go to school
学校へ行こう
All around the world, students go to school.
Some students walk to school, and some go by bus or by train.
Some students go by bicycle, and some go by car.
世界中で学生が学校に通っています。
歩いて学校に通う生徒もいれば、
バスや電車で通う生徒もいます。
自転車で行く生徒もいますし、
車で行く生徒もいます。
These students are in the USA.
They go to school by bus.
こちらはアメリカの生徒たちです。
彼らはバスで学校に行きます。
In the snow in Canada, some students go to school by sled.
In India, some students go to school by rickshaw.
How do you go to school?
カナダでは雪が降る中、
そりで学校に通う生徒もいます。
インドでは人力車で学校に通う学生もいます。

2. Buildings
建物
Let's look at school buildings around the world.
This school is in Australia.
It's in the countryside.
It's a little school,
but many schools in Australia are big.
世界中の学校の建物を見てみましょう。
この学校はオーストラリアにあります。
田舎にあります。
小さな学校ですが、オーストラリアには
大きな学校がたくさんあります。
Here's a big school in a city.
Many students go to this school.
It has a big school playground.
This school is in South Korea.
ここは都会の大きな学校です。
多くの生徒がこの学校に通っています。
大きな校庭があります。
この学校は韓国にあります。
For these students in Nepal,
the countryside is their school.
ネパールの学生たちにとっては、
田舎が学校です！
3. At school
学校にて
These students are at school.
They meet their friends,
they talk and they are happy.
こちらの生徒たちは学校にいます。
彼らは友達に会います。
楽しそうに話しています。
Listen, that's the bell.
Let's go to the classroom.
聞いてください！ベルだよ。
教室に行きましょう。
The students stand in the hallway by the door.
The teacher says "hello everyone."
These students have books and notebooks.
Can you see them?
No you can't.
They are in their bags.
生徒たちは廊下のドアのそばに立っています。
先生が「みなさん、こんにちは」と言います。
この生徒たちは本とノートを持っています。

One school in China is in a cave.
中国のある学校は洞窟の中にあります！
4. In class
授業中
In the classroom, the teacher says,
"Sit down, please. Open your English books."
It's an English class.
The teacher has a picture.
She says, "what's this?"
One student says, "it's a giraffe."
Put up your hand when you want to speak in class.
教室で先生が「座ってください。
英語の本を開いてください」と言います。
英語の授業です。
先生が写真を持っています。
彼女は言います、「これは何ですか？」
一人の生徒が「キリンです」と言いました。

In some classes, students have computers.
Do you have computers in your classroom?

5. Lunchtime

At lunch time, these students
go to the cafeteria.

The lunch lady gives them food.
She puts their food on a plate.
The students put their plate on a tray and say, "thankyou."
給食のおばさんが食べ物をくれます。

The students sit down and eat.
They talk to their friends. "How are you?"
"What's your favorite soccer team?"

「コンピューターは持っていますか？」
One school in Cambodia is a boat.
The cafeteria is a boat, too.
カンボジアのある学校はボートです。
食堂も船です！
6. Uniform
ユニフォーム
These students in China wear a uniform.
The girls wear red pants and
the boys wear black pants.
Everyone wears a white shirt and a red tie.
Students don't wear a uniform
in every school in China.
中国の学生たちは制服を着ています。
女の子は赤いパンツを履き、
男の子は黒いパンツを履きます。
誰もが白いシャツと赤いネクタイを着ています。
中国のすべての学校で生徒が制服を
着ているわけではありません。
These students in Peru wear a uniform, too.
Everyone wears a purple sweater and a white shirt.
The girls wear a gray skirt and
the boys wear gray pants.
Students don't wear a uniform
in every school in Peru.
ペルーの学生たちも制服を着ています。
みんな紫色のセーターと白いシャツを
着ています。
女の子はグレーのスカートを履き、
男の子はグレーのパンツを履きます。
ペルーのすべての学校で生徒が制服を
着ているわけではありません。
Do you wear a uniform?
These students in Japan wear a hard hat.
Their school is near a volcano.

7. Free time
自由時間
Students have free time in the day.
They run in the school playground
or they talk to their friends.
Some students play soccer or basketball.
These boys and girls play soccer in their free time.
一日のうち学生には自由時間があります。
学校の校庭で走ったり、友達と話したりします。
サッカーやバスケットボールを
する生徒もいます。
これらの少年少女たちは自由時間には
サッカーをしています。
Students have free time after school, too.
In some schools, there's a garden.
There are flowers and vegetables in the garden.
Students help in the garden after school.

In some schools, there's a band.
Students play in the band after school.
学校によってはバンドがあるところもあります。

8. School trips
修学旅行
Students like school trips.
On these days, students don't go to school.
They go with their teacher to a zoo or a museum.
Students go on great school trips and
they learn many new things.
学生は修学旅行が好きです。
この日、学生は学校に行きません。
彼らは先生と一緒に動物園や博物館に行きます。
学生たちは素晴らしい修学旅行に行き、
多くの新しいことを学びます。
The zoo is a favorite school trip for many students.
They can see animals and learn about them.
These students can see an otter.
動物園は多くの学生にとって
