スピリチュアル・ガイドには様々な定義がありますが、リバーサイドメンタルクリニックのブログでのスピリチュアル・ガイドの定義は、「その方を守り、導く霊的な存在のこと」です。ですので、神、仏、先祖、天、宇宙等の他、故人（信仰の対象となっている聖人等。身近なところでは、亡くなった家族、パートナー、恩師）等々全てが含まれます。スピリチュアル・ガイドは、肉体を持つ人間としての存在である自分自身を超える大きな存在です。その方のスピリチュアル・ガイドは一人ではなく、複数で協力して診察を助け、導いてくださることがあります。
リバーサイドメンタルクリニックでは、特定の信仰に偏らない立場を取っています。治療の上では、患者様の信念に基づく治療を組み立てています。
ブログ記事では、特定のスピリチュアル・ガイドがより多く登場することがあります。ですが、そこには特定の宗教・団体をサポートするような意図はありません。
特定のスピリチュアル・ガイドが多くなる理由として、主に以下の点が考えられます。①現実の症例を扱っているため、各患者の背景、例えば、魂の特質、文化的・地理的背景などが選択バイアスとして影響していること。②こちらの意図をより適切に表現する必要があるために、テーマによって選択バイアスがかかる可能性があること。

Title: A note about definition of spiritual guides and our spiritual position of Riverside Mental Clinic.

Thank you so much for reading our blog as always.
In this blog of Riverside Mental Clinic, in order for treatment, spiritual beings called “spiritual guides” show up a lot.
There are variety of definition of spiritual guides. The definition of our clinic is, “Spiritual beings who protect and guide a human being.” So, all of the following and related spiritual beings are included: God; gods; historic spiritual figures which people worship such as spiritual teachers, saints; ancestors or family members who passed away; the heaven; the universe; some people in the other side.
The spiritual guides are beings beyond who we are in human bodies. In the treatment, the spiritual guides show up individually or as a team in order to help and guide patients’ treatment.
Our spiritual position of Riverside Mental Clinic is to be open to all spiritual beliefs. Our treatment does not intend to suggest specific spiritual beliefs to patients, but respect the patients’ spiritual ones.
In our blog, specific spiritual guides show up more often than other guides. We have no intention to support specific religion or organization.
This reason is because: We are not selective about spiritual guides. But we are selective about topics we want to deliver to readers. We choose real cases which meet our intention. The following may work as selection bias: Background of each patient—characteristic of their souls, their cultural and geographical background, location of our clinic—our clinic is located in Tokyo, Japan, which is an Asian city.
