フィリピンのリム首都圏マニラ市長は
年末・年始に大勢の市民がマニラ動物園に来場するため
警官を増員して警備強化に当たるよう指示した。
また、動物のおりに向かって
ごみを投げ付けないよう来場者に呼び掛けた。
マニラ動物園の１日当たりの平均来場者数は３千～５千人。
年末年始は大幅に増えると見込まれている。
