フィリピンのアキノ大統領は
４日、南シナ海の南沙（スプラトリー）諸島付近で
フィリピンの石油探査船が中国の哨戒艇に妨害を受けたとして
外交ルートで中国政府に抗議したことを明らかにした。
フィリピン政府や軍によると
南沙諸島近くの浅瀬で２日、エネルギー省が調達した探査船に
中国哨戒艇少なくとも２隻が近づき、停船させた上で
この海域は中国領だとして立ち去るよう命じた。
連絡を受けたフィリピン軍は直ちに軍用機２機を現場海域に派遣
中国哨戒艇は自発的に現場を離れたという。
南沙諸島をめぐっては、中国とフィリピン、ベトナムなどが領有権を争っており
この海域で操業する漁船拿捕などの事件が相次いでいる。
