コレラ大発生
フィリピン保健省は
12日、パラワン島バタラザにおけるコレラの大発生を宣言した。
フィリピン保健省が調査を行った
3月1日から4月12日の間に430人が下痢を訴え
多くがコレラ菌に感染していることが判明したという。
また、既に多くの子どもを含む30人以上が死亡したという。

石油製品値上げが止まらない
中東・北アフリカ情勢の緊迫化などの影響による原油価格の高騰で
フィリピン国内の石油元売り大手による石油製品値上げが止まらない。
シェル、シェブロン、トータル石油各社が
13日、軽油とガソリン価格をリッターあたり1.50ペソ値上げしたと
現地メディアが伝えた。
フィリピン首都圏地域における軽油価格の平均値は48.60ペソとなった。
ビサヤ地方やミンダナオ島では、首都圏より5ペソ高だという。
値上げは今年で11回目。
今年１月からの各石油製品値上がり幅は
１リットル当たり約10ペソに達している。
政府からの補助金支給を先送りされた
ジプニーやトライシクル運行者らの生活を直撃している。
