マーリン・アギラさんに罰金２万ペソの支払いを命じた。
アギラさんは、大統領府高官の息子を射殺した疑いで逮捕
起訴されたジェイソン・アイブラー被告の母で
テレビ局ＧＭＡ７の取材に対し
「地裁の法廷内で何度も脅された。担当判事を殴ってやりたい」という
趣旨の発言をした。
担当判事は、これに対して罰金の支払いと法廷への出入り禁止を命令。
不服申し立てがなかったため、４月中旬に命令が確定した。

フィリピンのパラワン島の州都プエルトプリンセサの郊外に
めずらしいスタイルの刑務所がある。
1924年、アメリカ人によって建設されたもので
刑務所が、観光スポットになっていて
刑務所内を流れている川で
普通の観光客が水遊びをしたり、バーベキュウを楽しめるという。
ここで、サービスする人、ウエイター、コックなどすべてが囚人で運営されている。
テレビのインタビューに答える囚人たちの多くが
何の罪ですかとの質問に

フィリピンの犯罪は、貧困からくるものが多く

そこで、この刑務所は、広大な農地があり、囚人たちは、おもに農業に従事しており

他の刑務所の服役は、罪を償う懲罰的な意味あいが強いのに対し
ここイワヒグ刑務所は、どちらかといえば
囚人の更生を考えたカリキュラムになっているみたいだ。
