銃で武装した中国人が
フィリピンの漁船2隻に乗り込んできて、漁獲物を強奪
さらに、男たちはフィリピン漁船の漁業用の装備を破壊したという。
また、水産当局の別の報告書によると
この事件の1週間後には
中国の沿岸警備隊の船舶がフィリピンの漁船に放水し
少なくとも乗員3人が負傷し、漁船の窓ガラスが割れる事件もあった。

南シナ海・スプラトリー（南沙）諸島での中国による
埋め立ての様子を撮影した２０枚以上の写真や地図を公開した。
「緊張を高め、環境を破壊している」と批判。
この日開始されたアメリカ軍との合同軍事訓練に
タイミングを合わせ、中国を牽制した。
フィリピン軍が公開したのは昨年９月から今年４月に撮影された
中国が事実上支配する南沙諸島の七つの岩礁や浅瀬の写真。
すでに６階建てビルなど複数の大型施設が建設されており
滑走路も確認されている。
