狙われる韓国人
フィリピンで韓国人が襲われる事件が頻発している。
韓国外交部の発表によると
韓国人が被害者となった事件は2010年に94件だったが
2013年には780件と、8倍以上も増加している。
これは、同年に中国で起きた韓国人相手の事件数（598件）を抜いている。
2015年に入ってからも事件は多発しており
すでに5人の韓国人が強盗事件などに巻き込まれ死亡した。
現在、フィリピン在住の韓国人は約9万人で
韓国からの年間旅行者は100万人を超える。
フィリピン在住の韓人協会関係者は
「フィリピン警察は金を出さなければ動かない。
同胞がお金を出し合い、警察の捜査支援金や懸賞金を捻出している状況」だという。
マニラ・マラテ地域では、窃盗、強盗、拉致などが相次いでいるが
4月下旬には韓国人による自警組織が組まれ、専用の派出所も設置された。
すでに、地元警察と協力して、数人の窃盗犯を逮捕したという。

小規模の雑貨店をで営んでいたオーナーを逮捕したと伝えた。
この店では違法薬物がまるで飴玉やタバコのように売られていたという。
