現在、音楽産業の支援を目的とした法案が下院で審議されている。
この法案は、海賊版の流通により多大な損失を被っている業界の救済を目的とし
免税措置や補助金支出などの対策を講じるもの。
起草した議員によると、2000年当時には
年間10億ペソ（約19億円）規模だった国内のＣＤ売上高が
現在では数億ペソに落ち込み、アーティストの収入確保が困難になっているという。
