２３日、中国の梁光烈国防相は、訪問先のフィリピンで
ガズミン国防相と会談、両国などが領有権を主張する
南シナ海の南沙（英語名スプラトリー）諸島問題について
紛争を避け「平和的解決を図る」方針で一致した。
南沙諸島問題については
中国と東南アジア諸国連合（ＡＳＥＡＮ）が２００２年に署名した
南シナ海問題の平和的解決をうたう「行動宣言」を尊重することをあらためて確認した。

不当に脅し取られる被害に遭っていたことが分かった。
在フィリピン日本大使館はトラブルに巻き込まれないよう
特に発着時に気を付けるとともに
被害に遭った場合は、日本大使館に直接届け出るよう呼び掛けている。
