フィリピン下院法改定委員会で「離婚法案」の審議が始まることをうけて
民間機関SWSの世論調査では
５０％が離婚法案を支持していることがわかった。
（調査は3月4日～7日に、1200人の成人を対象に行われた）
「離婚法案」「人口抑制法案」は
フィリピン・カトリックの２大タブーといわれおり
これからの審議に注目が集まっている。
フィリピンでは、基本的には手続きとして離婚はできませんが
実生活では、別居などの手段で
別々の生活をする紙上（登録記載だけが残る）の夫婦も多くいます。
