フィリピン保健省はこのほど
現地でTUKO（トゥコ）と呼ばれるヤモリの一種が
エイズの治療に効くとの噂を否定し、間違って食べないよう民衆に呼びかけた。
噂によると、「このヤモリの胆のうの酵素がエイズに効く」というのですが
HIVおよび性感染症の専門医も、この噂を否定しています。

地下銀行
日本から不正に海外に送金する地下銀行を営んだ疑いで
フィリピン人の女が７月１４日警察に逮捕された。
逮捕されたのは、フィリピン国籍で
東京都大島町の飲食店従業員の４１歳の容疑者。
警察によると、容疑者は去年４月から半年間の間に
８人からの依頼を受け合わせて１７９万円をフィリピンに送金し
手数料を受け取り、無許可で銀行業を営んだ疑い。
容疑者は３年ほど前から地下銀行を営み
年間約１億円を送金して手数料として
５００万円から６００万円の利益を得ていたとみられている。
警察の調べに対し、容疑者は容疑を認めているという。
